There are significant milestones at 6 months and 1 year. Capturing those milestones is something you don’t want to miss for your precious baby.

We photographed Isaac – the cutest and happiest baby boy – at his 6 months and 1 year. We’d like to share how we do those sessions in details.

We have outfits for both 6 months and 1 year old babies – of course both boy and girl. We always welcome if our clients want to bring their own outfits. The outfits we offer are in two different kinds. We have very neutral colour casual outfits and cute studio style outfits.

The rabbit outfit he is wearing in the first image is the cute studio style. We use this outfit with either clean white backdrop or forest backdrop. The rabbit next the Isaac is one of many props we use. In the second image he is wearing a Harry Potter scarf and holding the magic wand brought by the parents – they are Harry Potter fans. The blue stripe outfit is his own and often we capture 6 months old babies with no top. They are still so adorable naked. 🙂

The milestone we capture at 6 months is sitting on his/her own. Tummy time is another pose we capture as they are very happy to be on the tummy at this stage. If requested, we also do a completely naked photo capturing from the back. Another popular milestone to capture is holding their own feet and toes, and sometimes putting their toes in the mouth. These are all so adorable milestones to capture at 6 months.

The milestone we capture at 1 year is standing. Some can stand without support at this age. Most babies can stand holding onto something. If free standing is possible, we capture it. If not, we either use a couch, a log, or baby bed (mostly for baby girls). We love to capture both smiley face and innocent face.

The grey shirt he is wearing in the first photo is one of our casual tops. For boys, jeans with no top is so adorable at this age, too. Those three lambs in the second image are very popular props for both 6 months and 1 year sessions.

Another milestone we want to capture is sitting on a chair or a bench. In the third image, he is wearing a black short with star patterned white shirt, which is also our casual outfit. When we have a baby sitting on a bench or chair, we always have a parent close by in case the baby falls over.

The forest theme where Isaac is standing holding onto a log is another popular setup. The forest backdrop matches the log and the onesie he is wearing is one of our cute studio style outfit. The black hat can be matched with this outfit and many other outfits we have. We have a few different style hats as well.

We also love to capture daddy holding the baby up in the air pose. At 1 year stage, most babies love the feeling of flying.

For both 6 month and 1 year session, it takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour each. Each session is $350+GST and there is no extra charge for using our outfits. When you book 6 months and 1 year session as a bundle, you save $50.
