It is always nice to have a client from my neighbourhood. Erin lives just up on the hill from my studio so it is less than 5 minute drive for her to make for her baby’s newborn session. She first considered to book maternity + newborn package but decided to go for My Baby’s First Year classic package.

We planned an outdoor maternity session at Deer Lake and were lucky to have a sunny day for it after a few rainy days. Erin and her husband are such a fun pleasant couple and I was happy to capture the excitement and love between them and for their precious baby-to-arrive-soon.

Because Burnaby Art Gallery, which is a beautiful stone wall building and one of my favourite spots at Deer Lake, was occupied by a wedding couple, I had to switch the plan – images with backlighting first and images in the shade next. So the light was a bit still stronger than I wanted it to be but Erin is so gorgeous and it doesn’t seem to matter at all.

Erin is due at the end of this month so I will meet the baby in just a few weeks. In the meantime, here is the sneak peek from her maternity session:
