J booked the <My Baby’s First Year> classic package with me. Her sister is expecting at the same time and they both showed the interest in this special package. It would be so cool to document babies of these two beautiful sisters.

J visioned her maternity session more like a family session and throughout the session, her desire was to create beautiful family images and that naturally became my focus. We first picked Confederation Park for the outdoor maternity session but changed it to Deer Lake in Burnaby as there was a construction in Confederation Park. It was a perfect sunny day and we scheduled a late afternoon session to have soft light. The cherry blossoms were blooming and it really couldn’t have been any perfect.

J’s first baby is quite free spirited and had her own mind during the session. I let her be herself and didn’t force her to do anything but engaged her to have fun. The images of J and her baby girl that were created here are mostly during playing games that I use as fun tricks.

J’s second baby will arrive in a week and I will have the pleasure to meet and photograph him in just a few weeks. I can’t wait but for the meantime here are some of my favourites from the maternity session.
